Hyper Speed: Malfunction

At this point, at this moment, Earth can be considered to be a spaceship, an ARK of sorts. The destination, “Unknown.” What is known is that there is a threat of sorts, which may be considered an energetic/directional “malfunction.” There isn't any particular source of the danger, but it is evident that whatever this ‘malfunction’ is, leaves it’s occupants and crew to the mercy of… well, for now, if the destination is reached, words will be created to describe the missing information. What can be done, is to correct it, but how?
